Job description

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Technician, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety for our customers. Your mechanical skills and automotive knowledge will be essential in delivering top-tier service that keeps vehicles running smoothly and customers satisfied.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes and suspensions.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment and other automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Execute wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance routines, and suspension work to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety standards.
  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
  • Accurately document all preventative maintenance and repairs on service log.
  • Collaborate with team members on vehicle inspections, service recommendations, and quality control to uphold standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous service technician experience in an automotive repair setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems and transmissions.
  • Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics interpretation
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and system diagnostics.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other automotive repair machinery safely and effectively.
  • Communication skills for explaining repair needs and work to be done to service writers
  • Ability to understand and follow technical manuals, safety procedures and manufacturer updates.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive technician experience required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • State Inspection and Emissions License required.
  • ASE certifications are highly desired, but not required.
