Job description

Automation Engineering Technician

Location: Northern Rhode Island
Schedule: 1st Shift
Compensation: $30-$35/HR plus benefits

We are seeking an Automation Engineering Technician to support robotics, automation systems, and production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role focused on equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, changeovers, and production support.

Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment
• Support robotics, automation systems, sensors, and related equipment
• Perform equipment setups, changeovers, and startup activities
• Complete preventive maintenance and equipment repairs
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Support manufacturing operations to maximize equipment uptime
• Work with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve equipment issues
• Assist with automation improvements and equipment upgrades
• Train and support less experienced technicians as needed

Requirements:
• 3+ years of automation, robotics, maintenance, or manufacturing technician experience
• Experience supporting automated production equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience with equipment setup, changeovers, and preventive maintenance
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
• Experience with robotics or industrial automation equipment preferred
• Manufacturing experience required
