Impact Automation is looking for Junior and Senior Controls and Automation Engineers capable of performing a range of duties to support and accelerate the integration of material handling systems into customer facilities. ย
This role involves:
ยท Developing software for PLCs, HMIs, and IPCs.
ยท Installing, testing, and troubleshooting material handling systems.
ยท Supporting commissioning and startup activities.
ยท Collaborating cross-functionally with mechanical and electrical engineers, sales, and project management from project conception through post-installation support.
This is a hands-on, full-project-lifecycle role for engineers who want to see their work directly IMPACT operational success.

Responsibilities
ยท Program Rockwell PLCs
ยท Program HMI systems primarily in Ignition
ยท Assist in troubleshooting electromechanical systems
ยท Contribute to design documentation, plans, and technical drawings
ยท Provide on-site support for commissioning, training, and startup
Requirements
ยท B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university โ OR โ equivalent work experience
ยท Ability to read and understand panel designs, electrical schematics, and system layouts in AutoCAD 2D
ยท Must have effective communication (verbal and written) and have the desire to build strong relationships with engineering groups, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
ยท Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines while working with project management and other engineering groups
ยท Occasional weekend, holiday, or overtime work may be required as part of a rotating support schedule
Bonus Qualifications
ยท 5+ years of controls or automation experience, preferably with Rockwell platforms
ยท Industry experience with material handling equipment or systems
ยท Experience in the use of CODESYS
ยท Experience with networking, PC controls, and operator displays
ยท Mechanical design experience in Autodesk Inventor or similar design software
