🚀 We’re Hiring: Senior Industrial Automation Engineer | Austin, TX


We are looking for an experienced Senior Industrial Automation Engineer to design, build, and optimize advanced automated manufacturing systems in a high-volume electronics production environment based in Austin.


This is a hands-on, cross-functional role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of controls, mechanical design, and manufacturing systems.


🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy automated production systems (PLC, HMI, motion control, robotics)

• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley / Siemens / Mitsubishi)

• Develop and maintain HMI/SCADA systems

• Design mechanical fixtures, tooling, and automation equipment using SolidWorks

• Diagnose and resolve complex electromechanical issues on production lines

• Drive continuous improvement (cycle time, yield, uptime, OEE)

• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and process engineering teams

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and scale-up into manufacturing


🎯 Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering

• 7+ years of industrial automation experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley / Siemens / Mitsubishi / ABB/ Schneider Electric)

• Vision System : Cognex / Keyence

• Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms

• Hands-on mechanical design experience using SolidWorks (fixtures, tooling, automation layouts)

• Experience with electronics manufacturing processes (SMT, PCBA, testing)

• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and software systems
