We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to oversee accounting operations across our Genesis, Hyundai, Mazda, and Volkswagen dealerships. This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance while supporting dealership leadership in driving performance and profitability.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with manufacturer and company guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Manage and mentor office staff across multiple rooftops
  • Reconcile schedules and maintain clean, accurate books
  • Work closely with General Managers to provide financial insights and operational support
  • Coordinate audits and ensure timely tax and regulatory filings
  • Maintain strong relationships with OEM partners and corporate leadership

MUST-HAVES:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the auto industry performing work in various office operations, including accounting and management.
  • Comfortability and experience with a fast-paced, multitasked auto dealership type environment
  • Expert proficiency in MS Excel

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

  • Operating a Reynolds and Reynolds DMS system
  • 4-year college degree in a related field: accounting, HR, business or management
  • Computer literate in MS office and other software; comfortability running and learning various technology platforms or paperless systems
