Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for keeping clean books and making sure all accounts and schedules are reviewed, balanced, and maintained per company policies.
Lead and supervise the team of store accounting staff including continued training, development, performance reviews, and hiring.
Prepare complete financial statements and submit to the manufacturer and management in accordance with established timeframes.
Interpret and analyze financial statements and other financial reporting.
Keep the General Manager informed on the financial trends and needs of the business.
Prepare and submit monthly state sales tax remittances.
Calculate monthly commissions for sales staff and store management.
Manage and safeguard the stores assets and ensure that internal controls are in place.
Assist department managers in reading and interpreting their financial reports along with creating action plans needed to improve their operation.
Work with General Manager to improve revenue or reduce expense to meet or exceed budget and grow the business.
Work with regional staff to ensure that corporate initiatives are attained.
Prepare and submit required statements, reports, and reconciliations.
Close the books accurately and timely each month.
Respond to requests for information and assistance in a timely manner.

What You Offer:

Several years professional experience, including senior financial leadership in the automotive industry.
Degree in Accounting or related field; MBA or CPA a plus. Will consider several years of relevant automotive accounting experience in lieu of degree.
Strong attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is highly recommended.
High degree of professionalism.
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
CDK experience a plus.
