Controller (Temporary - Up to 1 Year Assignment)

We are seeking a Controller (Temporary - Up to 1 Year Assignment) to play a key role in leading our accounting operations and ensuring financial integrity during a defined assignment period. This role is designed for an experienced accounting leader who can oversee financial processes, ensure compliance, and deliver accurate, timely financial insights that support business decision-making.

To Be Considered for This Position, Candidates Must Have the Following Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required

Experience: 5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management

Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to implement compliant accounting systems and procedures

Experience leading accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and general accounting

Demonstrated ability to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Preferred: CPA certification

What You'll Do

Accounting Operations and Leadership

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department, including AP, AR, cost accounting, and general accounting

Supervise and develop accounting staff while ensuring high performance and accountability

Ensure consistency and effectiveness of accounting practices across the organization, including subsidiary operations

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Deliver accurate and timely financial statements and reports to leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders

Develop and analyze financial metrics, profitability, and margin insights to support decision-making

Provide financial analysis for capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations

Budgeting, Forecasting, and Performance Management

Lead the development and management of annual budgets and forecasts

Monitor performance against budget, analyze variances, and communicate key insights to leadership

Establish benchmarks and reporting frameworks to measure operational performance

Compliance, Systems, and Audit

Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting requirements at all levels

Oversee accounting systems and processes, including cash flow, fixed assets, and transaction processing

Coordinate audits and provide required documentation to external auditors

Monitor debt compliance and support financial governance standards
