Job description

Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting early childhood services for the 26/27 academic year! A dedicated school district near Gary, IN is seeking a part-time School Psychologist to collaborate closely with a specialized preschool arena evaluation team. This rewarding position focuses on arena evaluations—primarily for children turning three—with an emphasis on autism assessments. You'll work approximately 14-15 hours each week on site with supportive colleagues, including an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist and two Diagnosticians.

You’ll play a vital role conducting focused assessments used to determine eligibility and support plans for young learners at a critical stage of their educational journey. The precise caseload varies, centering on a limited number of targeted evaluations as part of a collaborative team approach. No CPI certification is necessary for this assignment.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current or eligible licensure in Indiana as a School Psychologist
  • Experience or strong interest in early childhood assessments, particularly autism spectrum evaluations
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, observation, and analytical skills
  • Availability to start between August 10 and 17
