Our client is seeking a professional and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join their growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical office with a collaborative staff dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to support daily front office operations in a busy specialty medical practice. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a high patient volume, coordinating appointments, assisting with insurance updates, and providing outstanding customer service to patients both in person and over the phone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient check-out processes for multiple providers in a high-volume clinic environment
  • Schedule follow-up visits, procedures, and future appointments accurately and efficiently
  • Collect patient payments and discuss available payment arrangements when applicable
  • Verify and update insurance information to ensure accurate patient records and billing processes
  • Answer patient questions and provide exceptional customer service throughout the visit experience
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system
  • Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and leadership to ensure smooth office operations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of medical front office or medical receptionist experience preferred
  • Experience with patient check-in/check-out processes in a healthcare setting
  • Strong appointment scheduling experience required
  • Previous experience collecting patient payments preferred
  • Familiarity with Athena EMR highly preferred
  • Prior experience in OB/GYN, women's health, or specialty practice settings is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
