Job description

Kepler executes engineered marketing, where every message and ad delivered helps create a more personalized and productive relationship between brands and their consumers. We do this by acting as clients' agency of record, as their in-house team, or some hybrid of the two - and by harnessing data and technology across all paid digital media and data-driven CRM channels.
Kepler prides itself on being a great place to work. In fact, we're proud to share that AdAge recognized Kepler among the Best Place to Work in 2022, validating our investment in our team and our clients.
  • We're transparent with our employees. You'll hear updates on company financials, how we're performing against bonus goals, and how we're responding to challenges we face.
  • We're growing. For you, that means unparalleled growth opportunities and a role in shaping the direction of the company.
  • We're fun. You'll work with and learn from the smartest people in the industry and have a blast doing it.
Associate Vice President, Strategy
The Associate Vice President (AVP), is a senior leader responsible for overseeing Kepler's largest and most complex client partnership. This role leads day-to-day operations across a team of approximately 100+ specialists and managers, spanning numerous lines of business within a single enterprise organization. The AVP directly manages 5-7 Director-level leaders and reports to the VP/SVP of our Strategy Team.
As a senior leader at Kepler, you'll also be responsible for growing the Client Services organization, developing industry-leading media approaches and frameworks, identifying and codifying best practices, and refining Kepler's unique approach to planning, client management, and media deployment.
This is not a traditional account management role. We are seeking a seasoned digital media leader who combines deep technical expertise with executive-level client leadership. The ideal candidate can translate complex media strategy into business impact, build trusted relationships within enterprise organizations, and proactively expand partnerships through a strong onsite presence and hands-on engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Growth
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for a large enterprise client, with full accountability for satisfaction, performance, and growth
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships, including CMO and senior marketing stakeholders
  • Maintain a regular on-site presence to strengthen partnerships and expand relationships across business units
  • Identify and drive opportunities to deepen and broaden the client engagement
Strategic Media Leadership
  • Lead development of integrated, full-funnel digital media strategies across multiple lines of business
  • Provide expert guidance across planning, activation, investment strategy, partner negotiations, and measurement frameworks
  • Ensure data-driven decision-making and clear linkage between media strategy and business outcomes
  • Solve complex marketing challenges with innovative, scalable solutions
Operational & Organizational Leadership
  • Oversee operations across a 100+ person team to ensure alignment, efficiency, and consistently high-quality execution
  • Directly manage and develop 5-7 Director-level leaders, fostering accountability and growth
  • Partner cross-functionally across media, analytics, strategy, and operations to drive integrated delivery
  • Establish scalable processes, codify best practices, and continuously elevate standards of excellence
Qualifications
  • 10-15+ years of experience in digital advertising, account management, marketing strategy/consulting, performance marketing, direct marketing, and/or brand management
  • Deep expertise in digital media strategy, activation, and measurement across both brand and performance objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships and influence decision-making within large enterprise organizations
  • Proven experience leading large, cross-functional teams, both directly and indirectly, with a strong track record of developing senior and emerging leaders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to connect marketing initiatives to measurable business impact
  • Innovative problem solver comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity
  • Process-oriented leader with a hands-on, "roll up your sleeves" mindset
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-based environment
  • BA/BS degree preferred
