MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer II to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.

As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter's effectiveness. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of complex project tasks applied to specialized technology problems

  • Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems or technology problems

  • Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of work flow, organization, and planning

  • Directs and assists system engineers in the application of system engineering principles to the solution of secure systems design problems

  • Expert knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, network protocols, and other security and network operations and monitoring, vulnerability analysis, PKI, data encryption, key management, data warehousing, and data mining capabilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or High School Diploma and 6 years of additional relevant experience or Associate's Degree and 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular field

  • Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching

  • Experience with Git or other version-control software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree

  • Familiarity with programming languages e.g., Python, Java, C++ and scripting languages e.g., Bash and PowerShell

  • Experience supporting government programs

  • Experience with IT systems and cloud-based technologies

  • One  or more of the following IAM II certifications: CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Certified Info. Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C-CISO)

  • ITIL certification

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
