Job Summary:
CloudFit Software is seeking a Software Development Engineer to develop cloud-based applications within agile teams. This role involves taking ownership of product features, ensuring high customer service, and participating in project lifecycle best practices.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Take ownership of product features from backlog to support and maintenance
โ€ข Apply engineering best practices throughout all phases of a project lifecycle, including daily stand-ups, code reviews, source code management, deployment processes, and production code support
โ€ข Communicate effectively with users, engineers, and management to translate requirements into deployable software
โ€ข Actively participate in engineering meetings and cross-team mentoring activities
โ€ข Participate in an On-Call rotation for production platform support
โ€ข Negotiate trade-offs between software quality and time to market
โ€ข Travel to support customers in air-gapped environments
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 6+ months of professional application development experience in a modern software development role
โ€ข Familiarity with full-stack development and basic knowledge of computer science fundamentals like object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
โ€ข Experience in a customer-facing role, providing technical evaluations
โ€ข Familiarity with Agile environments and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
