Job description

Wolters Kluwer, Compliance division offers our "Wiz" products which area suite of compliance and data analytics software for financial institutions, focusing on lending regulations.

As a Senior Product Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor on the DXG team, supporting our suite of compliance solutions. In this role, you will apply your expertise in advanced software development, system design, and performance optimization to enhance product functionality, scalability, and overall user experience. Your leadership will drive highquality outcomes, foster technical innovation, and influence the architectural direction of complex initiatives. This position requires strong business acumen, deep architecture and design proficiency, and a proven track record of technical leadership on challenging projects.

You will report to the Associate Director, Product Software Engineering and work a hybrid schedule from our local office (2 days in office, 3 days remote).

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy applications to Azure using Azure DevOps and Azure PaaS.

  • Contribute to architecture documentation and participate in gate reviews (infrastructure, security, performance).

  • Ensure deliverables are self-certified before transitioning to QA and customers.

  • Agile SDLC understanding.

  • Develop and implement code using best practices aligned with technical and business roadmap.

  • Collaborate with architects on high-level architecture and design.

  • Specify application low-level design and technical documentation

  • Implement security, compliance, and performance requirements

  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and DevOps teams.

  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Product Managers.

  • Design APIs and understand API usability and user experience.

  • Manage and maintain product environment (repository, versioning, build management, deployments).

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field required. Advanced technical degree and/or related training a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in software product development.

  • Proven ability as a strong individual contributor.

Skills:

  • Product release cycle, code reviews, defect management

  • Handle changes and enhancements efficiently

  • Multi-threading, application clustering, scalability, performance, security, code analysis, optimization.

  • Database design and development.

  • Security, performance, integration with third-party components/applications.

  • Ensure best design practices and continuous product improvement.

  • ability to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using core principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

  • Proficiency in data modeling, objectoriented design, and responsive UI design.

Technical Experience:

  • Proficiency in C#/.NET and .NET Core 3.x+.

  • Strong experience building REST services and Web APIs, with frontend expertise in Angular.

  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JSON, and modern JavaScript libraries.

  • Hands-on experience with Visual Studio (2017-2019) and Azure DevOps in an Agile environment.

  • Experience with reporting and analytics technologies, including SSRS and Power BI.

  • Practical use of GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools to enhance developer productivity.

  • Strong grounding in Agile practices, including Scrum, TDD, and unit testing.

  • Demonstrated experience in test-driven development and building robust unit test suites.

  • Ability to provide technical and process mentorship, including training and guiding peers.

Compensation:

$92,700.00 - $161,850.00 USDThis role is eligible for Bonus.

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
