The Associate Vice President Wholesaler operates as a near-peer to the broader wholesaling team, with ownership of a semi-autonomous MFDA sub-region. The role is designed to accelerate growth by extending BMO GAM's reach into high-potential advisor segments, while developing the next generation of full wholesalers.

Primary Responsibilities

Territory Ownership & Sales Execution

  • Own and execute the sales strategy for an assigned MFDA sub-region with full accountability for growth and retention
  • Deliver against net sales and AUM growth targets
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned with regional strategy

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned advisors and dealer branches
  • Build relationships through proactive outreach
  • Understand advisor needs and connect them to appropriate BMO GAM resources

Prospecting & Business Development

  • Lead outbound prospecting to grow wallet share and activate new advisors
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline
  • Partner with wholesalers to align prospecting efforts

Collaboration & Team Integration

  • Partner with wholesalers to ensure coordinated coverage
  • Collaborate with specialist teams to deliver holistic solutions
  • Share market intelligence and advisor insights

Client Education & Engagement

  • Deliver product education and value positioning
  • Lead advisor meetings, presentations, and other forms of advisor outreach

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate CRM records
  • Track progress against targets and adjust plans as needed

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2 - 3+ years in asset management or advisor-facing roles (previous internal sales representative experience considered a strong asset)

  • This role serves as a pipeline into full Wholesaler roles based on performance and readiness.

Salary:

$56,000.00 - $103,500.00

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
