Scopely is looking for a Strategic Finance Associate to join our Finance team in Culver City on a hybrid basis.

What You Will Do
Decision-making at Scopley is grounded in data and analysis, and we are seeking a deeply analytical finance professional to provide decision support for a wide breadth of strategic corporate initiatives, as Scopely's Strategic Finance Associate.
Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Finance, this individual will focus on leading financial and analytical analysis for all of the Company's strategic initiatives. You'll interface with internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with teams across Finance, Corporate Development, and Business Development to analyze the financial implications of strategic initiatives. Scopely is a sophisticated, dynamic, high-growth company, and the Strategic Finance Associate will perform complex and thorough financial analysis, helping to ensure alignment between the company's financial goals and strategic ambitions.
  • Lead complex financial analysis for all external-facing strategic initiatives
  • Create and own the Company's long-term financial model to support proposed business development and strategic opportunities (M&A, investments and capital structure related activity)
  • Perform financial due diligence on strategic and M&A activities
  • Interface with external stakeholders regarding the company's financial performance
  • Research and analyze key business drivers, trends and performance indicators benchmarking Scopely's performance versus competitors
  • Create new, data-driven, complex models to perform ad hoc strategic analysis regarding corporate strategy
  • Leverage AI to help automate and streamline financial reporting frameworks
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years experience in investment banking, private equity, equity research, corporate development or strategic consulting experience is required
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred
  • Experience in gaming industry is a plus
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with expertise in building comprehensive three-statement financial models
  • The ability to effectively interact with senior leadership as well as external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and strong Excel, PowerPoint, and AI fluency, including the ability to leverage AI to enhance productivity and decision-making
