Associate Project Management Specialist

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Project Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Hill AFB, UT.

This position will support the Guidance Subsystem Support Contract (SSC) and/or the GPS Digital Translator (GDT) Programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the preparation, coordination, scheduling and change management activities of maintaining an integrated plan to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards

  • Participates in maintaining, analyzing and producing metrics related to plans

  • Assists more experienced personnel with risk assessments, developing mitigation plan and refining the business case

  • Gathers, organizes and provides data to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and supplier commitments and compliance

  • Supports the coordination and communication to ensure commitment to stakeholders and customers

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years' experience in program or project management

  • 1+ years' experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools

  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, MS Project

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • Experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)

  • Experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)

Work Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
