Job description

Job Title: Associate, Production

Reports To: Supervisor, Production

Position Location: Ocala, FL

FLSA Status (Exempt/Non-Exempt): Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Production Associate performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products. This may include disassembly, calibration and testing, assembly, injection molding, light machining, soldering, screening, packaging and packing to established methods. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor
  • Calibrates units per specifications, by product number and type
  • Fabricate or modify parts using shop equipment
  • Test product functional performance to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Attach appropriate labels to products and packages
  • Understands serialized processes and matches calibration certificate to specific matching product
  • Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes
  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
  • Place finished goods in designated box or pallet
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Meet daily metrics as communicated by manager
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education:

  • High School diploma, General Education Degree, or equivalent

Experience:

  • 0-2 years of prior relevant production experience

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Understand and follow basic verbal and/or and written instructions
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software
  • Strong math skills
  • Ability to read/speak English
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Work well within a team and maintain pace while ensuring high quality standards. Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Meet and maintain high attendance standards
  • Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement
  • Must possess basic keyboarding skills and understanding of Microsoft Office products, and the ability to use email
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressure, within deadlines or other time essential constraints
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization
  • Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
  • Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
  • Moderate physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (up to 25 lbs.) with reasonable accommodation

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hourly: $15/hr, depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
