Job description

  • Manage and lead a production area in order to meet safety, quality, customer experience, production output and cost control objectives directly and through supervisors.
  • Provide direction and leadership to the facility/area operations.
  • Ensure safety compliance in the assigned area and in accordance with company requirements and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs including physically checking production and assisting with machine set-ups.
  • Consistently lead teams to meet production and/or shipping goals to meet or exceed customer demand.
  • Coordinate and oversee training for safety and manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels necessary to create production plans in order to meet requirements.
  • Direct, assist and evaluate supervisors and production associates in both daily and long term requirements and goals.
  • Ability to interact professionally with others including co-workers, vendors and customers.
  • Ability to prioritize issues, analyze situations and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Monitors and maintains efficiencies to achieve best cost and on-time delivery.
  • Review and approve employee time and schedules, including overtime management.
  • Leads continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assists with Capital Expenditure planning to improve safety and operational efficiencies.
  • Assists with equipment troubleshooting and communications with maintenance on needs.

Requirements
  • Associates Related Field required
  • 5+ Years of manufacturing management and/or production planning experience required
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
  • Strong skills and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems required
  • SAP S4/Hana experience preferred.
  • 5% of time traveling as necessary for training, meetings, and to assist other facilities.
