Your Role:

  • Serve as a bridge between the Engineering team and the Millipore Sigma Life Science business to execute both high-level strategic and immediate tactical projects.
  • Own the continuous improvement of production processes, specifically targeting gains in efficiency, quality, and performance.
  • Provide hands-on, day-to-day troubleshooting and technical guidance for manufacturing issues or process changes.
  • Define and deploy improvement strategies on the production floor using Lean SixSigma methodology to reduce waste and boost efficiency.
  • Focus on implementing sustainable solutions that prevent recurrence and ensure a stable manufacturing environment. Manage and execute process improvement projects within stipulated timeframes and budget constraints, ensuring they meet intended design specifications as per the capability of Project Excellence.
  • Conduct comprehensive process analysis and develop solutions for optimal process performance, ensuring integration of new technologies and analytics tools as needed.
  • Develop and implement standardized production systems that facilitate easy maintenance, minimize downtime, and reduce maintenance costs based on the design for maintenance capability.
  • Contribute to the execution of the Life Science strategy and strive for technological advancement by evaluating effective, sustainable, and state-of-the-art solutions in line with applicable safety and quality requirements.

Physical Attributes:

  • Sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods of time.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hardhat, safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, safety harness and protective clothing.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or other Engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or other Engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years' experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma.
  • PMP certification.
  • 1+ years' experience in a GMP production environment.

Pay Range for this position: $31/hr - $50/hr
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
