Responsibilities:
Asset Reliability
Analyze downtime trends for presses and vulcanization lines
Improve MTBF and reduce repeat failures
Develop reliability-centered maintenance strategies
Standardize press rebuild and overhaul practices
Process Parameter Control
Monitor and control key vulcanization parameters (temperature, pressure, cure time, Vacuum)
Validate press control logic for parameter stability
Identify process drift and variation trends
Partner with Automation Engineer to improve control loop performance
Ensure parameter alignment with Control Plan
Production Support
Provide real-time troubleshooting during production issues
Support startup and validation after downtime events
Reduce unplanned production interruptions
Improve cycle consistency
Scrap & Quality Reduction
Analyze scrap trends related to cure parameters
Lead root cause investigations (8D / 5 Why/Cause Map)
Develop corrective actions to eliminate repeat scrap
Partner with Quality and Production to stabilize processes
Predictive & Condition Monitoring
Use thermal imaging, pressure validation, and condition monitoring tools
Identify early failure indicators in heating systems and hydraulics
Develop predictive maintenance roadmap for presses
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four-year college or university in appropriate technical field.
Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Good problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a team setting.
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
