Associate Principal Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Primary Purpose:

To support the overall instructional and operational leadership of the campus with a specific focus on the academic, behavioral, and social development of students. The Associate Principal will work collaboratively with the principal and leadership team to implement systems that promote student success, teacher support, and family engagement.
 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Master's degree in educational leadership or related field
• Valid Texas Principal certification

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
• Campus leadership experience preferred
   
  

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Instructional Leadership

1. Lead the implementation of district and campus instructional initiatives for core and elective courses.
2. Support teachers with lesson planning, classroom management, and use of data to drive instruction.
3. Analyze assessment data (benchmarks, STAAR, progress monitoring) to target interventions and enrichment.
4. Facilitate instructional rounds, classroom walkthroughs, and feedback cycles to promote instructional excellence.
5. Collaborate with instructional coaches and academic specialists to build teacher capacity.

Student Support and Development

• Lead Response to Intervention (RTI) and 504 meetings in collaboration with counselors and specialists.
• Monitor at-risk indicators and implement strategies for dropout prevention and credit recovery.
• Coordinate transition programs for students entering high school (e.g., summer bridge programs, orientation, peer mentoring).
• Serve as a lead administrator for Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for students.

Behavior and Campus Culture

• Oversee student discipline with a focus on restorative practices, progressive discipline, and SEL integration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student referrals, investigations, parent communication, and discipline consequences.
• Lead the implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
• Collaborate with security, SROs, and support staff to ensure a safe and orderly environment.

Staff Supervision and Human Capital Development

• Conduct T-TESS evaluations and provide instructional coaching and growth plans for designated staff.
• Lead and participate in staff professional development, faculty meetings, and campus-level trainings.
• Support professional learning communities (PLCs) with goal setting, data use, and instructional alignment.
• Monitor teacher attendance and support with substitute coordination when necessary.

Campus and Operational Leadership

• Assist with master scheduling, course selections, and student placement.
• Coordinate the implementation of special programs such as AVID and STEM.
• Support the administration of district and state assessments including testing logistics and secure procedures.
• Oversee campus duty schedules, hallway supervision, lunch supervision, and bus duty for assigned grade level.

Parent, Community, and Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and facilitate parent meetings, grade-level newsletters, and student recognition events.
• Work with the campus leadership team to increase parent involvement and community partnerships.
• Coordinate conferences with parents, teachers, and counselors regarding student progress, behavior, and intervention plans.

Compliance and Accountability

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local education laws, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor documentation of student interventions, discipline, and instructional accommodations.
• Assist with campus audits, safety drills, emergency plans, and crisis response protocols.

Other

• Serve as Administrator on Duty for events, athletic competitions, and after-school programs as assigned.
• Represent the campus at district leadership meetings, professional development sessions, and community events.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the campus principal to support overall campus performance.

*Works 226 Day Calendar
* Please note that this role requires in-person attendance and is not eligible for remote work.
