The Maintenance Planner will support the manufacturing operations to include all (but not limited to) Technical, Maintenance, Engineering, Production, Project Management, and administrative related activity.  This position will primarily utilize the Micromain CMMS system to manage all equipment and tooling work orders for planned and unplanned maintenance and ensure adherence to the overall Phased Maintenance Deployment and work flow processes. Additional responsibilities include managing databases for metrics, personnel, training, standard operating procedures and improvement methodologies.           

Job Responsibilities

  • Generate, issue, track, and close work orders in the Micromain CMMS system
  • Ensure all planned & unplanned Work Order labor is correlated to the correct asset in the CMMS system
  • Ensure all parts utilized for equipment repair is captured on work orders and correlated to the correct asset in the CMMS system.
  • Ensure the Central Stores parts bill outs are accurately tied to Work Orders & assets
  • Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor, leads and technicians on a daily basis
  • Run the CMMS task scheduler to generate new PM Work Orders
  • Maintain and track the asset management system by creating new assets and de-activating old assets
  • Ensure all new assets setup with PM schedules
  • Understand how to generate RFQ requisitions for purchase orders when required
  • Understand how to create purchase orders in the purchasing system
  • Execute goods receipt confirmation within the purchasing system for delivered goods and services
  • Maintain any/all critical machine, data and specifications
  • Run reports and track KPIs as required

 

Preferred Characteristics and Requirements:

  • Previous experience managing work orders in a CMMS is highly desirable
  • Basic understanding of equipment maintenance plans and schedules for emergency, preventative, predictive, routine and warranty activity
  • Excellent communication skills to support office and factory associates
  • Good presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
  • MS Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access databases
  • Basic understanding of financial measurements
  • Able to work with minimum supervision in a team environment
  • High energy, self-motivated, enthusiastic, well organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all departments
  • Capable of professionally dealing with changing priorities and requirements.
  • Ability to maintain accurate data and records
  • Strong multi-tasking competency
  • Able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
