Job description

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with prior trial experience and a minimum of eight (8) years of paralegal experience.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery;
  • Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials;
  • Working knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and all related court filing procedures and processes;
  • Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file;
  • Assist with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices;
  • Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria;
  • Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery);
  • Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial;
  • Coordinating trial set-up and logistics as well as serving as liaison among various internal departments as well as with outside vendors, such as translation services, document production vendors and trial graphics providers;
  • Summarizing depositions and other transcripts;
  • Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation; and
  • Additional responsibilities include supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support.

  • Working knowledge of document review platforms, including Relativity and document/deposition management platforms, including Everchron.
  • Proven ability to conduct independent research.
  • Compose and disseminate correspondence as required.

Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree preferred.
  • Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with ten (10) years of comparable work experience required.
  • Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate flexibility regarding client and legal team requests.
  • Achieve high level of productivity.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are often necessary in carrying out job duties.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The salary ranges for this position apply to the respective listed locations. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. Reasonable estimates of the current ranges for this position are:
  • District of Columbia: $65,000 to $115,000.00
