Job description

Cleaning Crew Associates provide regular cleaning and janitorial services necessary to maintain a safe, healthy, and inviting environment for church members and guests. This directly supports the ministry goals and mission of the church. In addition to routine services, Cleaning Crew Associates will also participate in periodic special activities related to the cleaning and maintenance of the church facilities.

Works with:ย  ย  ย  Facilities Supervisor, other Cleaning Crew Associates, Ministry Support Staff, and ministry teams

Works:ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Part time, Hourly, Non-exempt

Shift:ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Approximately 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM

ROUTINE CLEANING AND JANITORIAL SERVICES โ€” 90%
  • Cleaning and sanitization of bathrooms, classrooms, and offices.
  • Emptying of waste containers and disposal of garbage.
  • Vacuuming using a variety of large area, small area, and backpack type vacuum cleaners.
  • Cleaning of carpets.
  • Spot clean and deep clean large area of floor while operating large floor machine.
SPECIAL PROJECTS โ€” 10%
  • Stripping and re-surfacing of hard floor surfaces, including the operation of equipment associated with this process.
  • Spot clean and large area cleaning of carpeted areas.
WORK REQUIREMENTSย 
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to carry and operate a 20 pound backpack vacuum.
  • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals typically used in sanitization of bathrooms and classrooms.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for periods of at least 4 hours with periodic breaks as required by California labor law.
