Job description

Resident Ministry Service Staff (Part Time)

For a faith-based residential facility serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness, we are seeking a Resident Ministry Service Staff associate to support daily operations, resident welfare, and facility safety. This role is responsible for monitoring compliance with facility rules and procedures, supporting cleanliness and resident services, and responding to emergencies with professionalism and sound judgment. The position also requires close coordination with management and other departments to support continuity of care, accurate documentation, and timely communication. This is a part-time role with an hourly rate of $16-18 per hour. The work environment includes direct interaction with residents, staff, volunteers, and outside organizations in a setting that may involve crisis situations, public health risks, and irregular shift coverage across first, second, and third shifts.

What You Will Do?

  • Coordinate the facility response to emergencies and provide crisis intervention and resident support.

  • Assist residents with mail, toiletries, over-the-counter medications, questions, concerns, and other appropriate support.

  • Complete required follow-up documentation for each crisis, significant event, and exit in CaseWorthy.

Your Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED is required, with two years of college or an associate degree preferred.

  • Experience or education in social services, ministry, or a related field is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.

  • Knowledge of substance abuse issues, mental health conditions, and homelessness is preferred.

  • Valid Texas Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and current liability insurance are required.

  • Strong reading, writing, time management, multitasking, and communication skills are necessary.

  • Ability to maintain resident and staff boundaries while working professionally and respectfully is essential.

  • Familiarity with CaseWorthy, Sphere, and SharePoint is helpful for daily documentation and coordination.

  • Ability to work without supervision, solve problems, and handle confidential matters with good judgment.

Pay Details: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
