Job Description: 

L3Harris is seeking an Associate Manager of Quality Management supporting our Millersville MD site.

The Associate Manager, Quality Management, is responsible for leading the Quality Assurance team to ensure the delivery of products and services that meet internal and customer requirements. This role oversees the development, implementation, and oversight of quality management systems, drives process improvements, and manages compliance to industry standards and contractual obligations.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality professionals to meet department goals.
  • Oversee and manage quality management systems (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and applicable customer requirements.
  • Analyze quality performance metrics and identify trends, root causes, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Interface with internal cross-functional teams and external customers to address quality concerns and drive resolution.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and quality procedures.
  • Manage internal and external audits, including corrective action follow-up.
  • Coordinate quality training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and approve inspection plans, test results, and disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Ensure effective risk management and timely escalation of quality issues.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications: 

  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship
  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, tactics, and employees within a team.
  • Typically has strong knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent industry standards
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in quality tools (8D, FMEA, RCCA, SPC, etc.)

 

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or highly regulated industry preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as job demands

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Maryland is $96,000- $178,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
