Job Description

Eurofins PSS is seeking an Associate Group Leader - Analytical Sciences to support a dynamic biopharmaceutical testing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for executing analytical testing while supporting daily lab operations, team performance, and project delivery.

The ideal candidate combines strong HPLC technical expertise with emerging or demonstrated leadership experience in a regulated laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities

Technical / Laboratory Responsibilities

  • Perform and support analytical testing including:
    • HPLC (RP-HPLC, IEX, SEC)
    • CE-SDS, CIEF, Jess (as applicable)
  • Support method development, troubleshooting, and qualification activities
  • Analyze, process, and verify data with strong attention to data integrity
  • Maintain timely documentation in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems (DLIMS)
  • Ensure routine sample turnaround timelines (target: 14 days)
  • Support characterization studies for early- and late-stage programs
  • Work with potent compounds (OEB4/OEB5), including ADC-related materials

Leadership & Operational Responsibilities

  • Support oversight of daily team performance and workflow coordination
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
  • Participate in candidate interviews and hiring activities
  • Help ensure coverage, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards
  • Promote a collaborative, positive, and accountable team culture
  • Communicate priorities, updates, and expectations across the team
  • Balance hands-on lab work with leadership and administrative responsibilities
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on HPLC experience (RP-HPLC, IEX, SEC)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CE-SDS, CIEF, or Jess instrumentation
  • Exposure to technical writing and GMP documentation practices
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Familiarity with Lean principles or process improvement
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and apply the scientific method
  • Comfortable working independently and within team environments
