Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Group Leader position at Miami Youth Academy in Miami, Florida.

Miami Youth Academy: A moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth aged 14 to 18. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based substance abuse services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program.

Pay: $45,000 salary, exempt annually

What you will do: The Group Leader is operationally responsible, through the work performed by Senior Coach Counselors, Coach Counselors, and Night Coach Counselors, for the safety, care, and around-the-clock supervision of youth in the program during a scheduled shift. The Group Leader exercises his/her authority on a daily basis through direction and supervision of both students and staff during a shift, in order to meet expectations of the services provided. The Group Leader typically reports to the Shift Supervisor, but supervision may vary by individual location.

A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
