Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Madrigal's medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-ฮฒ agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).

The Associate Director, Brand Analytics & Forecasting owns brand-level analytics and demand forecasting in support of Commercial brand teams. Reporting to the Director of Brand Analytics, this role builds and maintains short- and mid-range forecasts, tracks brand performance against key metrics, and partners with Commercial and Finance leadership to inform planning and investment decisions. The ideal candidate combines rigorous forecasting expertise with the business acumen to translate model output into clear, actionable narratives for senior leadership.
Role & Responsibilities
  • Own patient-based and demand forecasting models for assigned brand(s), spanning in-line and long-range horizons.
  • Apply and maintain robust forecasting methodology, including scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and risk-adjusted forecasting.
  • Partner with Commercial and Finance leadership on performance tracking, KPI dashboards, and business review analytics.
  • Leverage patient-level analytics - line of therapy, patient journey, new vs. continuing patients, switching, persistence, and adherence - to uncover growth drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with cross-functional analytics & data team to understand latest on-ground intel and leverage the most relevant data sources to inform assumptions and forecast scenarios
  • Lead variance and root-cause analyses linking actual performance to forecast assumptions and executional drivers, and reconcile patient, sales, and audit perspectives into a single source of brand-performance truth.
  • Manage forecasting vendors or consultants as needed, and mentor junior analysts supporting brand analytics.

Qualifications
Typical Degree & Years of Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech commercial analytics, including direct experience in brand analytics and/or forecasting.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical demand and patient-based forecasting methodologies.
  • Experience working with syndicated and patient-level data (e.g., IQVIA NPA/NSP, LAAD, DDD, Xponent), claims, and specialty pharmacy data.
  • Hands-on proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical platform (SAS, R, or Python), plus data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Preferred
  • Experience supporting specialty or rare disease brands, ideally through a launch.
  • Experience with hands on development of forecast and relevant analytics to track performance
  • Experience with leadership presentation development
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior analyst.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position, applicable to all candidates, is $171,000 - $209,000 per year. We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
