Job description

Sales & Forecasting Analyst - Boutiques North America
Temporary assignment • 6 months • 40 hrs/week • Hybrid, NYC
Role Summary
The Sales & Forecasting Analyst provides dedicated analytical and forecasting support to the Commercial Lead for Boutiques North America during a critical FY2026 recovery period and ahead of the STARS H2 launch. This is a focused, execution-oriented role: daily analytical visibility into the business, demand and forecast precision, and disciplined tracking of the regional recovery opportunity against budget. The Analyst operates under the direct guidance of the Commercial Lead and works within established processes - not setting strategy, not managing relationships, but ensuring the analytical rigor that makes the strategy executable.
What You Will Do
  • Provide daily eyes on the business: monitor sell-in and sell-out trends across all NA boutique brands; flag variances against budget and forecast as they occur, not at month-end.
  • Drive forecasting precision: build, maintain, and refine weekly and monthly demand forecasts for the licensor-managed portfolio (Coach, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Tiffany), with particular focus on the post-STARS operating cadence.
  • Track recovery and incremental opportunity against the FY2026 budget gap on a daily/weekly basis; surface course-correction opportunities to the Commercial Lead before they become quarterly issues.
  • Run and maintain the analytical processes already designed: reporting cadences, variance trackers, and recovery dashboards built by the Commercial Lead.
  • Support pre-STARS H2 readiness: clean baseline data, build pre/post comparison frameworks, and prepare the analytical scaffolding the region needs to land STARS cleanly.
  • Prepare clear, concise weekly and monthly performance summaries for the Commercial Lead and Head of Boutiques - numbers, variance commentary, and risk flags. Polished decks are not required.

What This Role Does Not Do
To keep scope tight and expectations clear: this role does not own commercial strategy, does not manage external licensor relationships, does not lead market weeks or buying campaigns, does not present to C-suite or external stakeholders, and does not have people-management responsibility. Those remain with the Commercial Lead.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of analytical experience in wholesale, retail, or consumer-goods environments - with at least 2 years focused on forecasting, demand planning, or sales operations.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivots, complex formulas, basic modeling); comfort working in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). Familiarity with SAP, JDA, or comparable replenishment systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving commercial environments - and to surface insight quickly, not perfectly.
  • Strong written communication: ability to translate variance and trend data into 2-3 sentence commentary a busy commercial leader can act on.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Economics, or related field - or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Desirable Attributes
  • Prior exposure to luxury, fashion, or premium retail (wholesale or D2C).
  • Familiarity with auto-replenishment systems (STARS or equivalent) and the operational rhythm of a wholesale-run-as-retail model.
  • Experience supporting a senior commercial leader directly - comfortable with quick turnarounds and shifting priorities.
  • Working knowledge of licensor-managed wholesale dynamics.
  • Curiosity and operational discipline in equal measure - someone who treats forecasting as craft, not chore.

Logistics
  • Assignment length: 6 months, with potential to extend pending business need and budget.
  • Hours: 40 hours/week.
  • Location: 1 West 37th Street, New York, NY - hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 remote).
  • Reports to: Shradha Mehta, Senior Director, Boutiques North America.
  • Start date: target within 4 weeks of agency activation.
