ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client, a Fortune 50 Broadcast Media & Entertainment leader based in New York, is seeking a Forecasting Analyst for a 6-month contract. As a member of the Subscriber Forecasting team within the Advanced Content Analytics department, you will play a key role in evolving Peacock's Content Forecast from category-level to title-level granularity. You will work hands-on with large, complex datasets, develop and maintain SQL-based data pipelines, integrate forecasting inputs from various sources, and provide analytical support for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work with advanced analytics platforms, contribute to content strategy, and gain exposure to the planning processes of a leading streaming platform. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Write SQL queries to generate first-party data sets tailored for Excel-based forecasting models
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation across large-scale datasets
  • Support interim category-level forecasting processes while long-term title-level forecasting infrastructure is developed
  • Ensure forecasting inputs are accurate, standardized, and ready for downstream modeling and planning processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual reporting and forecasting workflows
  • Document processes to improve operational efficiency
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide analytical support for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning deliverables
  • Help contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related)
  • 2+ years of data modeling experience
  • 2+ years of experience querying and analyzing large, complex data sets with strong data visualization skills
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel
  • Experience with data extraction, transformation, validation, and quality assurance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficient in maintaining meticulous records, documenting procedures, and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in forecasting, media/streaming, subscription businesses, or analytics is a plus
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • Work for a well-known, globally leading Media and Entertainment organization
  • Exposure to content strategy, forecasting, and planning processes for a leading streaming platform
  • Opportunity to work with large-scale datasets and advanced data and analytics platforms
  • Grow your career in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
