Job Title: Associate Technician, Engineering (Skilled)
Location: Fremont, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension/Conversion)
Pay Rate: $28 - $33 per hour

Overview

Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a skilled Associate Engineering Technician to support laboratory testing, product development, and engineering validation activities. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on technical experience in a lab or production environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute routine and non-routine laboratory tests requiring precision, fine motor skills, and strong hand-eye coordination
  • Test prototypes according to engineering instructions and accurately document results
  • Operate automated equipment and/or robotic systems to support testing and validation activities
  • Utilize and maintain data within LIMS or similar systems for electronic test management
  • Ensure all testing follows validated methods, specifications, and complies with GLP and quality system requirements
  • Communicate test progress, results, and issues effectively to project engineers and team members
  • Troubleshoot test failures or process issues and support resolution efforts
  • Assist in training team members on new processes, procedures, and product testing methods
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation in alignment with company standards
Qualifications
  • Two-year Technical Degree (Associate's or Certificate) or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Hands-on experience operating lab equipment, automated systems, or robotics
Preferred:
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical, lab, or production environment
  • Experience in the medical device industry
  • Familiarity with LIMS or similar test data management systems
