Job description

SUMMARY: The Plant Controller is primary responsible to support the Manufacturing facility and is responsible for assisting with financial controls. The position will interact with management, sales and operations and provide support for the achievement of business objectives and growth initiatives. Plant Controller is responsible for monthly operational reporting, planning, monthly closing and analysis of variances from budget and forecast. This positions reports to the VP of Finance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• Demonstrate effective leadership and human relations techniques to employees.
• Effectively administer department functions.
• Utilize data and tools to effectively communication needs and expectations.
• Evaluate equipment needs and assigned purchasing of supplies needed for operations.
• Work with other departments and teams as need to facilitate overall operational improvements.
• Ability to self-direct activities, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to teach, coach, and train staff associates.
• Knowledge of Cost Accounting fundamentals and analysis.
• Ability to critically analyze and prepare complex reports, statements and projections.
• Ability to define problems, to collect data to establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to use discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
• Repeatable and auditable data modeling and manipulation.
• Demonstrate the ability to implement creative solutions while working under pressure.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 3 - 5 years financial experience in a manufacturing environmentpreferred.2 -4 years management experience in an office setting preferred. Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access. Knowledge of SAP, AS/400 and Mainframe systems preferred. Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientated and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and leadership skills. High Integrity.
