Job description

Associate Veterinarian

Teller Park Veterinary Clinic is ready to welcome another veterinarian to our team in the friendly mountain town of Divide, CO. We're a small animal general practice providing compassionate care through wellness exams, ill pet visits, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, acupuncture therapy, and more.

At Teller Park, work-life balance is built in. Located in the peaceful, nature-filled town of Divide, we're surrounded by endless opportunities for outdoor recreation—hiking, biking, skiing, and more.

The clinic culture is low-stress, supportive, and fun. We don't work weekends, holidays, or handle emergencies, and our 9 AM to 4:30 PM Monday – Friday schedule means your evenings and weekends stay yours.

Our hospital is well-equipped with digital radiography and a smooth appointment flow. Dr. Lemons leads with a love for surgery and mentorship, supported by a skilled, collaborative team focused on exceptional care for pets and their people.

We're looking for a veterinarian who is compassionate and client-focused. A strong communicator who works well with both clients and team members. Interested in continued learning and possibly mentorship—either receiving or providing it.

Responsibilities include performing wellness exams and diagnosis, and medical procedures such as vaccinations, dental procedures, soft tissue surgery, and necessary diagnostics. Administer and accurately monitor controlled substances. Maintain and complete patient records. Serve as mentor to technical support staff. Build and establish rapport with the client base, demonstrating exceptional bedside manner and communication while providing clear communication on ongoing home treatment.

Qualifications include a graduate of an AVMA accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program. Licensure in the state of Colorado or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start. Strong proficiency in medical knowledge and surgical skills, particularly in soft tissue surgery. Exemplary professionalism and communication skills with both team members and clients. Strong decision-making and time-management skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.

Benefits and support include a competitive compensation package, paid time off (PTO), medical, vision, and dental insurance, short- & long-term disability, employee assistance program (EAP), paid parental leave, 401K with company match, paid licensure and dues, VIN membership, CE allowance with additional paid days to end CE events, uniform allowance, and so much more!
