Job description

Belk's early talent team growing! Come join a fast-paced, dynamic team and play a role in influencing and hiring entry level talent. The campus recruiter will manage full lifecycle recruiting initiatives, coordinate events, and support program execution to ensure an amazing experience for participants.

Essential Functions:

  • Full cycle recruiting ownership to include: resume review, initial phone interviews, candidate communication/follow up, leading feedback sessions, and conducting offers and closing candidates
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships at target universities with key faculty, professors, administration, and student organizations
  • Leverages industry trends, best practices, and early career recruitment techniques to continuously improve campus recruitment process
  • Work closely with the Early Talent leadership team to establish and/or design a tailored recruiting approach at designated schools
  • Provide inputs and insights into innovative and creative ways to build Belk's brand, attract top candidates, and achieve early talent hiring goals
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in all events at assigned universities, ensuring timeliness and consistency while partnering with the early talent team, HRBPs, Campus Champions, and business leaders
  • Deliver results against campus benchmark metrics for all recruiting activities to drive overall strategy
  • Coordinate and execute early talent programs, in partnership with program manager, such as curriculum planning, leader engagement, developmental sessions and social activities
  • Support and manage social media campaigns to promote our brand and showcase our program experience
  • Utilize recruiting and campus engagement platforms such as Handshake and internal booking/scheduling tools to manage events, interviews, and candidate communication
  • Assist with expense tracking and reconciliation related to campus events, travel, and recruiting activities (expense management preferred)
  • Requires designated hybrid in-office work schedule

  • Able to travel up to 75% during peak seasons (Fall and Spring semester)
  • Able to work outside normal working hours for recruitment and program events, as needed

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience in Campus Recruiting, Corporate Recruiting, Career Advisor, or Program Management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving and event-planning skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing recruitment and program needs
  • High energy and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with business leaders, college career services contacts, professors, student organizations including diversity and industry focused groups
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred) and campus recruiting platforms such as Handshake
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience using booking/scheduling tools and coordinating logistics across multiple stakeholders
