Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally respected law firm to add a talented Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate to its San Francisco office. This is a standout opportunity for an attorney who thrives in complex financial matters and wants to work alongside one of the most established insolvency groups in the country.About the Role

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 3–7 years of solid bankruptcy and restructuring experience

  • California bar admission

  • Strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials

  • Experience with bankruptcy litigation, including preference actions, is a plus

You’ll work on sophisticated matters across industries, supporting clients through every stage of financial distress and reorganization.

About the Practice

For more than 80 years, the firm’s Insolvency & Financial Law Group has represented virtually every participant in financial litigation and restructuring, including:

  • Secured lenders & landlords

  • Unsecured creditors

  • Creditor & equity committees

  • Trustees

  • Buyers of distressed assets

  • Contract counterparties

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $170,000 – $230,000

  • Bonus Potential: Up to $106,000 (based on experience & performance)
