Purpose

The law firm of Aldridge Pite is currently looking for an Hourly Processor. This entry level position in the Bankruptcy Department will be responsible for the preparation and filing of various legal documents, including but not limited to Objections, Replies, Responses, and Motions to Dismiss. This position is also responsible for updating internal and client systems.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Including, but not limited to, the following duties:

• Review daily reports to ensure that files are handled efficiently and timely;

• Preparation, Processing and Filing of Legal Pleadings;

• Scheduling and monitoring for sensitive Chapter 11 and contested Chapter 13 deadlines;

• Coordinating and assisting with hearing setup and court communication of the same;

• Sending & Monitoring of Declarations/Affidavits, and Pleadings for Client Approval;

• Communication and follow up with clients for necessary information and documentation;

• Process Hearing Results;

• Process ECF Notifications;

• Update client systems;

• Process Calls, Faxes, E-Mails, Payment Histories, Disputes and Attorney assignments;

• Provide support to Management and Attorneys;

• Assist with additional projects as needed


Job Requirements

• Minimum High School diploma.

• Bankruptcy or Mortgage Servicing experience preferred but not required

• Previous law firm experience is preferred but not required


General Competencies

• Must have the ability to communicate with Trustees, Bankruptcy Courts, Local Counsel and Debtors Attorneys

• Must have ability to interpret client systems.

• Must be proficient in software tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet

• Must be organized and multi-task oriented

• Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
