Job description

OVERVIEW: We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure in a secure government environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience administering Windows-based systems, managing Active Directory, and developing PowerShell automation. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical systems while supporting identity management and infrastructure modernization initiatives. GENERAL DUTIES: * Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server environments. * Manage and support Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, organizational units, and user/computer account administration. * Develop, maintain, and enhance PowerShell scripts to automate system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency. * Monitor system health, performance, and availability while proactively addressing issues. * Perform server patching, upgrades, configuration management, and lifecycle maintenance. * Support enterprise authentication, identity, and access management processes. * Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across servers, operating systems, and related services. * Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and operational processes. * Collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, and operations teams to implement secure and compliant solutions. * Participate in on-call support and maintenance activities as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Strong experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments. * Extensive experience managing Active Directory, including Group Policy administration. * Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience. * Experience troubleshooting enterprise Windows infrastructure. * Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP. * Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. * Experience administering or supporting SailPoint IdentityIQ or similar identity governance platforms. * Experience with CyberArk Privileged Access Management solutions. * Linux system administration experience. * Bash scripting experience. * Experience supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. * Familiarity with infrastructure automation, configuration management, or DevOps practices. * Experience working in DoD or Intelligence Community environments. * One or more of the following certifications are preferred: * Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate * CompTIA Security+ * AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate * Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) * CyberArk Defender or Sentry certification * SailPoint IdentityIQ certification CLEARANCE: * Active Top Secret minimum clearance
