Position Summary
The Web Administrator is responsible for maintaining University Prep Schools' digital presence and ensuring that online communications are accurate, engaging, timely, and aligned with the organization's brand. This position manages website and intranet updates, supports social media communications, creates digital graphics and marketing materials, and assists with school and network events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Website Administration
  • Maintain and regularly update the University Prep Schools website and campus webpages.
  • Post announcements, news stories, events, staff information, forms, photographs, and other content.
  • Review website content for accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and broken links.
  • Coordinate with school leaders and departments to collect and publish timely information.
  • Support website improvements that enhance the user experience for families, scholars, staff, and community members.

Social Media Management
  • Create, schedule, and publish content across University Prep Schools' social media platforms.
  • Promote school achievements, enrollment opportunities, events, programs, and community partnerships.
  • Monitor social media accounts and help ensure questions or concerns are directed to the appropriate team member.
  • Maintain a consistent voice, visual identity, and posting schedule.
  • Track basic engagement data and recommend ways to strengthen the organization's digital reach.

Graphic Design and Marketing
  • Design digital and printed marketing materials, including flyers, social media graphics, newsletters, invitations, banners, presentations, and event materials.
  • Ensure all materials follow University Prep Schools' brand standards.
  • Prepare files in the appropriate formats for websites, social media, email, and professional printing.
  • Assist with school enrollment campaigns, staff communications, celebrations, and community outreach efforts.
  • Organize and maintain digital photographs, logos, templates, and other brand assets.

Event Support
  • Assist with school and network events, including setup, registration, photography, digital promotion, signage, and event-day communications.
  • Work collaboratively with school leaders, staff, vendors, and community partners.
  • Capture and share approved photographs and highlights from school events.
  • Provide additional communications and marketing support before, during, and after events.

Intranet Administrator
  • Manage and maintain the district's public-facing website and internal intranet platform (Happeo).
  • Maintain intranet organization, site permissions, and navigation to enhance staff access to internal tools and information.
  • Support staff with intranet training and content updates as needed.
  • Provide documentation and reports related to intranet usage.
  • Participate in technology planning meetings and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in web design, communications, marketing, graphic design, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience managing websites, social media platforms, or digital communications.
  • Experience creating professional graphics and marketing materials.
  • Proficiency with design platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar programs.
  • Familiarity with website content-management systems.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
