The Assistant Vice Provost for University Admissions serves as a key member of the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) senior leadership team and reports directly to the Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment Management. This leadership role provides vision, strategy, and operational oversight for the university's admissions enterprise, including undergraduate admissions, graduate and professional admissions, admissions systems and imaging, and recruitment and enrollment initiatives for Ohio State's regional campuses.

The Assistant Vice Provost is responsible for advancing the university's enrollment goals through the development and execution of comprehensive admissions and recruitment strategies aligned with institutional priorities and the SEM strategic plan. The role leads the establishment of strategic goals, policies, processes, budgets, and performance measures that support student access, enrollment growth, operational excellence, and student success.

As the university's senior admissions leader, the Assistant Vice Provost directs the operations of Undergraduate Admissions, providing strategic leadership for domestic and international enrollment initiatives, enrollment planning, and the continuous enhancement of admissions technologies and processes. The position champions a culture of accountability and performance excellence while ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations, mitigating risk, and overseeing admissions appeals and policy matters.

In partnership with Enrollment Analytics, Student Financial Aid, Marketing and Strategic Communications, and academic leadership across the university, the Assistant Vice Provost leverages data-driven insights to inform recruitment, admission, and enrollment strategies. The role oversees the implementation of integrated marketing and communications plans that strengthen student recruitment efforts and support enrollment objectives across the Columbus campus, regional campuses, and Ohio State ATI.
The Assistant Vice Provost provides strategic counsel and operational leadership to advance institutional enrollment priorities. The position fosters transparency, collaboration, and alignment across undergraduate and graduate academic units and colleges, while strengthening pathways to Ohio State through pipeline programs, transfer initiatives, community partnerships, and student transition programs that expand access and opportunity.

The Assistant Vice Provost represents the university through service on institutional, regional, and national committees, task forces, and professional organizations, serving as a prominent advocate for Ohio State and its enrollment mission. Through visionary leadership and cross-campus collaboration, this role plays a critical part in shaping the university's enrollment strategy and ensuring continued success in attracting, enrolling, and supporting a talented student population.


Bachelor's degree required, 10+ years progressive leadership experience required. Advanced degree and experience in an academic setting preferred.
