Job Title: Dry Trim Technician | Reports to: Dry Trim Manager | Location: Homestead, FL 33030

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cannabis Dry Trim Technician to play a crucial role in our cannabis cultivation and processing operation. The Dry Trim Technician will be responsible for carefully and efficiently trimming harvested cannabis plants to prepare them for further processing and packaging, ensuring the highest quality end products. 

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Hand-trim harvested cannabis plants to remove excess leaves, stems, and other unwanted materials while preserving the valuable buds. 

  • Follow trimming guidelines and quality standards to maintain product consistency and appearance. 

  • Ensure efficient trimming processes while minimizing waste. 

  • Conduct visual inspections of trimmed cannabis to identify and remove any contaminants, such as mold, pests, or damaged plant material. 

  • Collaborate with the quality control team to meet and maintain product quality standards. 

  • Maintain detailed records of trimming activities, including batch information and quality control results.  

  • Adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to cannabis cultivation and processing. 

  • Maintain accurate records of all trimming activities, including batch information, weights, and quality control checks. 

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with inventory tracking and reporting requirements.  

  • Clean and maintain trimming equipment, such as scissors and trimming tables, to ensure proper functionality and prevent contamination. 

  • Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor.  

  • Work efficiently to meet production quotas and timelines while maintaining high-quality standards. 

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance trimming efficiency and minimize waste.  

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries during the trimming process. 

  • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly. 

  • Participate in safety training and encourage a culture of safety within the team.  

  • Collaborate with other team members, including cultivation and processing staff, to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. 

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or improvements related to trimming processes. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Previous experience as a Cannabis Dry Trim Technician or similar role within the cannabis industry is preferred. 

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise trimming. 

  • Familiarity with cannabis regulations and compliance requirements. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment. 

  • Good communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
