SCOPE

Responsible for supporting the operational performance and service quality of an assigned portfolio of lodge locations - coaching site leadership teams, supporting budget and cost management, and maintaining operational continuity across the portfolio during the Operations Manager's off-rotation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accountable and responsible for maintaining a safety culture, following all SOPs, JSAs, and policies and procedures as set out by Target Hospitality.
  • Support the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations across assigned lodge locations, including hospitality, food service, housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk functions.
  • Act as the operational point of contact for assigned locations during the Operations Manager's off-rotation, maintaining continuity of leadership and decision-making.
  • Coach and support Lodge Managers and site leadership teams on standards, service delivery, and day-to-day problem solving.
  • Assist in managing operational budgets, tracking labor, food, and supply costs against occupancy and contract terms, and flagging variances to the Operations Manager.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and audits to verify compliance with company standards, food safety, HSE requirements, and client expectations.
  • Monitor occupancy, census, and service levels, and recommend staffing and resource adjustments to meet fluctuating demand.
  • Support client communication and assist in resolving service issues promptly and professionally, escalating as appropriate.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources on staffing plans, hiring, onboarding, retention, and employee relations matters across assigned sites.
  • Support consistency in SOPs, service standards, and reporting across all locations in the portfolio.
  • Assist with lodge mobilization, expansion, and demobilization activities, including readiness planning and resource coordination.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors on scopes of work, scheduling, and performance.
  • Compile operational reports, KPIs, and performance summaries for the Operations Manager and senior leadership.
  • Support emergency response and business continuity efforts at assigned locations.
  • Exceed our guests’ needs by providing world-class customer service.
  • Attend all safety meetings and participate in Target Hospitality emergency response procedures.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by a manager.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Extended periods of sitting and computer use when performing administrative and reporting work.
  • Short- and long-distance walking required during site inspections and lodge walkthroughs.
  • Use of stairs and step stools.
  • Occasionally lift an average weight of 25 lbs with a maximum of 50 lbs. Where weights may exceed 50 lbs, the assistance of another person or a lifting aid is mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, high-stress environment.
  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain and access all areas of a lodge facility, including kitchens, laundry areas, and mechanical spaces.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to hear and understand verbal instruction as well as other sounds such as safety alarms and signals.
  • Must be able to see without impairment for inspection purposes, and able to read small text such as product warning labels.
  • Exposure to extreme hot and cold environments during site visits and outdoor inspections.
  • Ability to work within a rotational schedule of 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off, or as per business needs.
  • Frequent travel between assigned lodge locations, which may include remote sites with limited amenities.
  • Ability to work safely and navigate within small, close quarters and congested areas.
  • May be exposed periodically to elevated noise and surroundings.
  • Must be available to respond to operational and emergency issues outside of standard working hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent operational experience.
  • 3+ years of operations experience in hospitality, workforce housing, food service, or facilities management.
  • 1–2 years of leadership experience supervising teams or departments.
  • Multi-site or remote-site operations experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting operational budgets, cost tracking, and variance reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret operational and financial data and act on it.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience with hospitality, workforce management, or ERP systems.
  • Valid food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred.
  • First aid certification is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between assigned locations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work long rotations away from home.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and urinalysis.
