Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group in partnership with a growing government contractor is seeking a Senior Financial Manager. As the Sr. Financial Manager, you will be responsible for managing a small accounting team while also executing various accounting duties and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of relative government accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting. If you’re seeking your next opportunity, apply now!


Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial statements and revenue calculations strictly adhere to GAAP and internal policies.
  • Lead the preparation of sales, use, and franchise tax returns while coordinating with outside auditors for annual financial reviews and tax compliance.
  • Oversee critical regulatory requirements, including GSA Schedule IFF filings and supporting annual Incurred Cost Submissions to the DCAA.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity through accurate balance sheet reconciliations and strategic cash flow analysis (AR to AP) to ensure liquidity.

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Minimum of 10 years of relative experience to include government accounting.
  • Substantial experience with financial reporting and working with the general ledger.
  • Proficient in JAMIS as well as Excel
