Job Description:
The Annuity & Structured Settlement Assistant Underwriter provides specialized support to annuity operations and structured settlement processes. This position is responsible for communication with brokers and internal personnel, processing and indexing daily documents, reviewing producer appointments and commission payments, and assisting with contract releases and administrative tasks. The role includes producing various documents such as annuity contracts and company forms, answering structured settlement inquiries, reviewing premium acceptance, and coordinating payment reviews and distributions.
Responsibilities:
  • Intake, review, and index daily mail and documents
  • Communicate with brokers and internal staff regarding annuities and settlements
  • Assist with producer appointments, commission payments, and premium confirmations
  • Review and update files with current address or account information
  • Prepare and produce documents including contracts, guarantees, agreements, and correspondence
  • Answer questions from annuitants/claimants via phone and written requests
  • Support premium acceptance review and payment distribution processes
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in documentation and recordkeeping
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; two years of college or equivalent work experience preferred
  • One or more years of administrative or insurance-related experience
  • Basic math skills and proficiency with personal computer software, including database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and documentation abilities
  • Typing speed of 30 wpm with accuracy

The base salary range for this position is $22.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation.
