The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading law firm in Las Vegas, NV and we are looking to hire an experienced Of Counsel Attorney - Civil Litigation and Probate, to join a growing Nevada team. This is a flexible, independent contractor opportunity ideal for an attorney with an existing solo practice, small-firm affiliation, or other professional commitments who is interested in supplementing their caseload through the firm. This role requires dependable in-state coverage, effective case management, and the ability to attend court proceedings when local representation is needed or advantageous.

Schedule: Flexible | Part-Time | Practice Areas: Civil Litigation, Probate, Guardianship, Estate Administration, and Related Disputes What You'll Do Responsibilities may include: Handle Nevada civil litigation and probate matters referred to by the firm Evaluate potential matters and provide recommendations on case strategy, scope, and case value Manage assigned cases from initial assessment through resolution Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and settlement documents Conduct and defend depositions Represent clients at hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials Provide local court coverage for routine and substantive proceedings Handle probate administration and estate-related court matters Assist with guardianship and other protective proceedings Support contested probate and fiduciary disputes Advise clients regarding Nevada procedures, deadlines, risks, and potential outcomes Maintain regular client communication regarding the status and cost of their matters Coordinate with the firm attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff Enter time promptly and comply with the firm's billing and client-management procedures Help monitor client retainers and account status Types of Matters Candidates are not required to practice in every area. We seek a versatile attorney who can provide reliable Nevada representation and handle matters within their experience.

The attorney may assist with matters involving: General civil litigation, real estate, and property litigation Business, contract, and construction-related disputes Will and trust disputes Partnership and ownership conflicts Pre-litigation demands and negotiations Probate administration and contested probate matters Fiduciary litigation and guardianship proceedings Estate-related property and business matters Other Nevada legal matters within the attorney's experience What We're Looking For Qualification & Experience Active Nevada Bar admission in good standing Civil litigation and/or probate experience Knowledge of Nevada state court procedures Experience managing cases and deadlines independently Courtroom, deposition, hearing, or mediation experience Additional skills & Attributes Ability to attend in-person Nevada court proceedings when needed Strong legal drafting, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills Sound judgment and case assessment (including unfamiliar matters) skills Client service and communication skills Ability to discuss litigation strategy, fees, and case value with clients Responsive and dependable professional Collaborative approach within an Of Counsel structure Professional, reliable, and team-oriented What You Can Expect Work and Compensation Structure Hourly compensation Flexible Of Counsel independent contractor relationship No guaranteed hours; workload based on firm needs, client demand, and availability The firm will provide marketing, client intake, administrative, billing, and operational support The attorney will be expected to: Enter time accurately and promptly & monitor invoices and client account status Communicate with clients regarding retainer replenishment Pause work when client accounts are not current Follow firm billing, client service, and matter management procedures Maintain regular communication with the supervising attorney or practice group leader Why this the Firm.
