Assistant Residential Manager

Location: Hudson 

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour.

Schedule:. Tuesday 1pm - 7pm, Wednesday 9am - 4pm, Thursday 1pm - 7pm, Friday 1pm - 10pm and Saturday 9am - 9pm

The Focus in this Position:

  • In conjunction with the Residential Manager, establish and oversee day to day operations of two sites and ensure delivery of residential services.
  • Support the unique personal desires and needs of the individuals at the site, encouraging them to become a self-advocate.
  • Ensure the Direct Support Professionals are assisting each individual in knowing their personal strengths and worth and sharing these traits with others in various community settings.
  • Work in a professional and ethical manner establishing a trusting relationship with the individuals and the employees at the site.
  • Support healthy living practices including diet, exercise, stress reduction and emotional support, medical and dental practices.
  • Follow all training, safety and reporting procedures.
  • Assist the individuals in maintain a comfortable and orderly home by teaching them within the scope of their abilities home cleaning activities, care for clothing and minor repairs.
  • Support individual's independence in utilizing personal funds. Accept responsibility for all individuals' funds, financial benefits and petty cash during shift.
  • Maintain all records and ensure completion of all required documentation.
  • Supervise and evaluate all direct support professionals at site.
  • As needed, provide medication support to each individual at the site.
  • Participate in the development and review for each individual serve plan and that each person is successfully supported towards meeting their stated outcomes and goals.
  • Directly supervise up to 15 direct support professionals.

Requirements of the Position

  • High School Diploma or GED (now called TASC)
  • Two years' experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Exceptional written, communication, and computer skills
  • A valid NYS Driver's license or the ability to convert an out of state license within 90 days.
  • Ability to be certified in all required trainings.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Preferred one year of supervisory experience.
