ABOUT VISIONEERING STUDIOS:

Visioneering Studios Construction is the construction arm of Visioneering Studios, a nationally recognized design-build firm serving churches, schools, nonprofits, and commercial organizations across the country. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This position works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate project communication, maintain project controls, manage documentation, and support project administration.

The Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager is expected to develop a strong understanding of commercial construction, design build delivery, project financial management, scheduling, and field operations while serving as a key contributor to project success.

This position serves as a primary development path toward a Construction Project Manager role within Visioneering Studios Construction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ยท Project Administration

o Assist Project Managers with daily project management responsibilities.

o Maintain project files and documentation within Procore and company systems.

o Track project correspondence and distribute information to appropriate team members.

o Prepare meeting agendas, meeting notes, and action item logs.

o Assist with project startup and closeout documentation.

ยท Construction Administration

o Manage and track Requests for Information (RFIs).

o Manage and track Submittals and Shop Drawings.

o Assist with Architect Supplemental Instructions (ASIs) and Change Directives.

o Maintain project logs including RFI, Submittal, Change Order, and Issue Logs.

o Coordinate document distribution between project stakeholders.

o Assist with permit tracking, inspections, and jurisdictional approvals.

ยท Financial Management Support

o Assist with project budgeting and cost tracking.

o Support preparation and review of monthly pay applications.

o Assist with subcontract preparation, contract administration, and procurement activities.

o Assist with subcontractor invoicing and payment processing.

o Track change orders and maintain change order logs.

o Support project forecasting and cost-to-complete reporting.

ยท Preconstruction Support

o Assist with budgeting and estimating activities.

o Solicit subcontractor pricing and proposals.

o Support bid leveling and proposal analysis.

o Participate in constructability reviews and value engineering exercises.

ยท Schedule Coordination

o Assist with project schedule development and updates.

o Monitor schedule progress, milestone completion, and potential schedule impacts.

o Support coordination between office and field teams.

o Help maintain look-ahead schedules and project planning tools.

ยท Field Coordination

o Participate in jobsite visits and progress meetings.

o Coordinate with Superintendents regarding project status and field issues.

o As Assist in tracking quality control inspections, punch list activities, and project closeout requirements.

o Support implementation of project safety procedures.

ยท Client and Team Communication

o Maintain professional communication with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

o Participate in owner meetings and project progress meetings.

o Support delivery of exceptional client service throughout the project lifecycle.

ยท Process Improvement and Technology

o Support implementation and utilization of Procore, Monday.com, and other project management tools.

o Assist with project dashboards, reporting, and process improvements.

o Identify opportunities to improve project workflows, communication, and efficiency.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

ยท Internship experience in construction, architecture, engineering, or project management considered.

ยท Understanding of construction documents, specifications, and commercial building systems.

ยท Familiarity with project management software and construction technology platforms.

ยท Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules.

ยท Strong written and verbal communication skills.

ยท Design build experience preferred.
