As one of the largest contract manufacturers and packagers of wet wipes, liquids, and other consumer products in North America, Kleen Test Products (KTP) has built a reputation for delivering quality, innovation, and reliability to our partners. We're growing fast - and looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our growing team in Port Washington, WI.

The Project Engineer's primary purpose is to provide solutions for new and existing production applications while adding technical expertise to the organization. In addition, the Project Engineer will collaborate with Customers, plant personnel, and management to achieve the successful completion of project and equipment improvements.

We are looking for someone who is an organized, responsive, and a proactive team player with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels. We are looking for someone with at minimum 3-5 years hands on mechanical experience who understands the electrical side or someone who has 3-5 years minimum hands on electrical experience who can learn/understand the mechanical side.

What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and/or enhance customer products or equipment technology to provide innovative solutions to complex customer problems.
  • Resolve mechanical and system control issues as they arise
  • Assist the sales team and senior management by providing equipment quotes and general information as requested.
  • Develop cost saving solutions for KTP both for internal use as well as for application to customers in the manufacturing of their product.
  • Provide manning for new and existing production applications.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and provide contractor quotes for new and existing projects.
  • Maintain contact with customers to ensure that KTP meets or exceeds customer satisfaction with respect to problem resolution.
  • Travel to equipment vendors to observe, analyze, and evaluate new equipment solutions.
  • Assist in production line assembly or set up.
  • Train maintenance and production personnel on new equipment.
  • Provide technical support for customer meetings, trials, and other events as required.
  • Provide supervision for equipment and facility installations.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Requires at minimum 3 to 5 years of hands on experience
  • Requires comprehensive expertise in electrical engineering and system controls
  • Requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and system dynamics
  • Requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business information, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to write reports and findings and present to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, area, and volume.
  • PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) along with Google Suite, Microsoft
  • Outlook, and AutoCAD.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information.
