Job description
Our Vision: To develop public- and private-sector leaders who understand the federal policymaking process, are able to solve relevant policy problems, contribute to improved civic engagement and civil society, and who elevate the public discourse about policy and politics.
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 3-5 years experience providing support to programs or projects or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Assist Archer Center team with newly admitted student onboarding, serving as point person for multiple onboarding-related tasks, including enrollment, registration and access to course management systems/platforms, collection, follow-up and confirmation of incoming student forms, and other onboarding-related duties as assigned.
- Provide timely responses to student onboarding-related questions.
- Collaborate with Archer Center staff to assist with new student orientation events for undergraduates (summer) and graduates (winter).
- Ensure clear communication with students regarding programmatic schedule and expectations. Keep program calendar(s) up-to-date and disseminate the calendar(s) to stakeholders, including students and leadership, alumni, faculty, and colleagues.
- Assist Program Manager and Communications Manager in documenting Archer Fellow and Archer Center events through photos and other media. Assist with other communication duties, as assigned.
- Assist the Program Manager and Residential Life Program Associate with housing assignments, accommodations, and provide administrative support for student life programs and events.
- Support the Residential Life Program Associate in the coordination of residential programming and student life activities.
- Serve on the D.C.-based emergency contact and student support team, along with senior D.C.-based colleagues.
- Coordinate Archer Fellowship events and programming under the direction of the Program Manager and provide administrative support for fellowship activities.
- Assist D.C.-based team in coordination of Archer Center student, supporter, alumni, and Advisory Board events, including welcome and graduation weeks.
- Research new internship opportunities and disseminate opportunities to Archer Fellows.
- Assist the Program Manager, Communications Manager and D.C.-based team with posting and sharing internship opportunities with Archer Fellows.
- Collect (and share) internship-related documents to support professional development colleagues and faculty.
- Support the Archer Center in internship-related recordkeeping and in the maintenance of comprehensive internship data.
- In collaboration with Archer Center colleagues, coordinate the Archer Fellow Mentor Program, connecting Archer Fellows with alumni, friends of the Archer Center and Archer Center donors and supporters.
- In concert with Archer Center colleagues, coordinate Archer Fellow alumni panels for events such as orientations, welcome week, graduation week, and networking events.
- Other duties as assigned.
