MANTECH seeks a career and customer-oriented Senior Technical Program Manager, Mobility and TACCOM to provide technical leadership and high-level program management support to a sponsor organization in Alexandria, Virginia. This is an onsite position.

This role requires a strong background in tactical communications (TACCOM), extensive experience managing mobility and land mobile radio (LMR) systems, and deep expertise in Project Management. The candidate will serve as a strategic advisor and technical lead, responsible for providing the technical and PM-level oversight necessary to ensure the sponsor's federal programs meet performance, cost, and schedule objectives. This position manages a cross-functional technical team overseeing field reprogramming, code plug configuration, asset tracking, and inter-agency agreements.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic implementation support for mission-critical tactical communication systems

  • Deliver program management support for financial accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation

  • Monitor program performance data to maintain schedule and budget adherence

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, technical training, and program status reports for senior government leadership. Support engagement with senior stakeholders

  • Coordinate directly with the Customer team for access to the mobility system to push certificates to devices for operations as they are identified and created.

  • Coordinate with the TACCOM team for operations, changes, and updates from a mobility and field deployment perspective

  • Support and streamline technical communications and updates out to the field

  • Develop, document, and standardize operational procedures for all managed processes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master of Science with 6+ years of technical experience, OR Doctorate and 4+ years of experience, OR Bachelor's and 8+ years of experience, OR Associate and 10+ years of experience, OR High School diploma/GED and 12+ years of experience

  • Demonstrated experience in technical leadership or program support for large-scale federal and defense programs

  • Demonstrated expertise in Land Mobile Radio (LMR), tactical communications (TACCOM), and systems engineering lifecycle support

  • Proven track record of managing distributed, field-deployable technical teams and coordinating cross-functional engineering initiatives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Direct experience with federal sponsor practices, Command Aware applications, and Motorola APX-series programming architectures

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain Customer Suitability (fitness determination) prior to starting position

  • Position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, customers, and senior government leadership, which may involve delivering formal technical briefings and training sessions
